# Tandu Terms of Service

**Version 1 - effective 17 August 2026.** *This is a courtesy translation. The
Hebrew version is the binding text; where the two differ, the Hebrew governs.*

These terms are the agreement between you and **Tandu Me LTD** ("Tandu", "we"),
an Israeli company at Klil HaHoresh 274, Nes Harim 9988500. They apply to your
use of the app and the service. By signing in and starting to use it, you agree
to them.

The handling of your information is governed by the **Privacy Policy**, which
forms an integral part of this agreement.

## 1. What the service is

Tandu is a matchmaking service. You talk to a matchmaker, it learns who you are
and what you are looking for, and it offers you matches with other people on the
service. If both sides are interested, you can chat in the app.

**The matchmaker is an AI, not a person.** It writes like a person, but it is
software, and it can be wrong, forget, or misunderstand you. Do not rely on it
for medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

## 2. Who may use it

People aged 18 and over only. At the start of the conversation we ask for your
date of birth; stating an age under 18 closes the account and deletes it. One
account per person. You are responsible for your account and everything done
through it.

The service operates in Israel. If you use it from elsewhere, that is at your own
risk, and we make no representation that it complies with local law there.

## 3. Phone verification

To receive a match offer you must verify a phone number. That is what
establishes that one real person stands behind each account. **Your phone number
is not shown to the other side.**

## 4. What is allowed and what is not

You may use the service to look for a partner, honestly and in good faith.

You may not:

- Give false details about yourself, impersonate another person, or upload
  photos that are not yours.
- Harass, threaten, humiliate, extort, or harm another user, the matchmaker, or
  us.
- Send sexually explicit, violent, racist, or inciting material.
- Ask other users for money, attempt to defraud them, or market anything to them.
- Use the service for commercial purposes, recruit users to another service, or
  advertise.
- Collect information about other users, store it, or distribute it - including
  screenshotting a conversation or photos and publishing them.
- Attempt to break into our systems, circumvent limits, run bots or automated
  tools, or overload the service.
- Make any unlawful use of the service.

A breach may result in blocking or closing the account, at our discretion, and
in serious cases in a referral to the authorities. If we close your account
following a breach, we will not refund payment.

## 5. Your safety

We monitor the service for abusive behaviour, and you can report a user through
the matchmaker or at **safety@tandu.me**. But we do not verify users' identities
beyond phone verification, and we do not run background checks.

**You meet people at your own risk.** Take the usual care: meet for the first
time in a public place, tell someone where you are going, and do not send money
to anyone. If something feels wrong - stop and report it.

## 6. What you write and upload

The content you write and upload remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive
licence to use it in order to operate the service for you - to process it, store
it, and show a person matched with you the parts intended for sharing. That
licence exists for the service alone and ends when the content is deleted,
except for what has already been sent to another user.

You warrant that content you upload is yours or that you are permitted to upload
it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

**What you see about another person** - profile, answers, photos, messages - is
given to you for the purpose of getting to know them only. It may not be saved,
forwarded, or published.

Tandu's software, design, name, and marks are ours.

## 7. Matches - what we do not promise

We undertake to operate the service with reasonable effort. **We do not promise
that you will receive matches, that you will receive them at any particular
rate, that they will suit you, that the other side will respond, or that you
will find a relationship.** Matches are selected by an automated process that can
be wrong. The service is provided as is.

## 8. Paid subscription

Some features require a subscription (Tandu Plus). The subscription is purchased
through the Apple or Google app store and renews automatically until you cancel
it. **Billing, refunds and cancellation are handled with the store, not with
us** - we do not see your payment details and cannot charge or refund money. You
cancel in your account settings at the store; cancellation takes effect at the
end of the paid period.

Price, package contents, and terms may change. A change to your detriment on an
existing subscription will apply only from the next period, and after advance
notice. If we shut the service down while your subscription is in force, we will
refund the unused pro-rata portion.

Your right of cancellation under the Consumer Protection Law, to the extent it
applies to you, is preserved; it is exercised with the store through which you
purchased.

## 9. Closing an account

You may delete your account at any time from within the app, or ask us at
privacy@tandu.me. Deletion is carried out after 30 days, during which it can be
cancelled. Exactly what is deleted and what remains is set out in the Privacy
Policy.

We may suspend or close an account if these terms have been breached, if the use
endangers other users or the service, or if we discontinue the service. Where it
is not a breach, we will give advance notice so far as possible.

## 10. Liability

We are liable for damage caused by our fault under the law. We are not liable
for the acts of other users, for content they upload, for what happens when you
meet, for failures at external providers, or for indirect and consequential
damage. In any event, and to the maximum extent the law permits, our total
monetary liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the year
preceding the event - and if you paid nothing, to NIS 200.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for
bodily injury or a wilful act.

## 11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Every update is published as a new version with an
effective date, and we will give at least 14 days' notice in the app of a
material change. If you do not agree to a change, you can delete your account
before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes
agreement.

## 12. Governing law, jurisdiction, and binding text

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent
courts of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district have exclusive jurisdiction.

**The Hebrew document is the binding text.** This English translation is for
convenience only; in any conflict, the Hebrew prevails.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.
You may not transfer your rights under this agreement to another person.
